One-on-One DBT Coaching at TheraHive

At TheraHive, we’ve always been committed to helping students build DBT skills in a way that works best for them. From the very beginning, we’ve offered one-on-one coaching as a supplemental resource for students in our group program. What we quickly learned was that these individual sessions were incredibly valuable—so valuable, in fact, that many students wanted the option for more frequent one-on-one coaching.

We listened. And over time, we expanded our offerings to make one-on-one coaching more accessible, flexible, and tailored to different student needs.

Flexible One-on-One Coaching for Every Journey

DBT isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we know that different students need different types of support. That’s why we’ve made one-on-one coaching available in a variety of ways:

  • Integrated Weekly Coaching: We launched our Comprehensive Learning Program, combining our regular group program with weekly one-on-one coaching sessions for students who want additional, structured support.
  • Private Learning Program: Some students love the idea of group DBT but struggle with scheduling. Others feel anxious about joining a group right away. Our Private Learning option allows students to work one-on-one with a coach at a time that works for them—on their own terms. Some students have even used this as a stepping stone to build confidence before joining a group!
  • Standalone Individual Coaching: We’ve also heard from students who have already completed a DBT program but still want a coach to support them as they continue applying skills in real life. Others want to start with individual coaching before deciding whether to join a group. Now, both of these options are possible!
