Parental Support

Parents receive full access to our self-paced, 22-week Adult DBT curriculum, which mirrors our Adolescent DBT program. In addition, parents are invited to attend a live session at the start of each skills module. These sessions provide an overview of what teens will be learning, empowering parents to better support their child.

Course Modules

This course includes all four DBT skills modules in our 22-week program. All modules are 6 weeks long except for Mindfulness which is 4 weeks long. Mindfulness is slightly shorter because it is integrated into all the other modules and serves as the foundation for DBT. Students can start our program with any DBT module.

Module 1:

Distress Tolerance

6 Weeks

The Distress Tolerance module in DBT is an essential part of learning how to manage intense emotions, as well as cope with crisis situations. This module helps you learn to accept reality as it is, and teaches coping strategies to regulate your emotions, tolerate distress, and increase resilience.

Module 2:

Mindfulness

4 Weeks

The Mindfulness module in DBT teaches you the skills to focus on the present moment without judgment, helping to reduce emotional reactivity and improve coping with difficult situations.

Module 3:

Emotion Regulation

6 Weeks

The Emotion Regulation DBT module teaches you how to manage and regulate your emotions effectively by helping you identify, understand, and change your emotional responses to different situations.

Module 4:

Interpersonal Effectiveness

6 Weeks

The Interpersonal Effectiveness module in DBT teaches you skills to communicate effectively, set boundaries, and maintain relationships while achieving your personal goals.
